Unit Manager for the Legal Support Area
Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan) makes 21 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We disburse approximately 260 billion SEK each year. It is everyone's tax money that we manage. It is a great responsibility. Therefore, we delve into each case, follow laws and regulations, inform and guide, care, and show compassion. This is a job for you who want to take responsibility. Welcome to Försäkringskassan.
We are now looking for a unit manager for the legal support area, which is part of the department for sickness insurance. This area gathers all legal support for the department's employees. The unit mainly consists of departmental lawyers, collaboration managers, specialists, reviewers, and litigators.
Close Leadership, Change, Sustainable Workplace
As a unit manager, you are the manager closest to the employees and the operations. You are responsible for leading and driving the daily work based on the department's mission and goals, where the state value base permeates your work. You have personnel responsibility as well as result and follow-up responsibility for the teams in your unit. You also represent Försäkringskassan in external collaborations such as in the media.
Your unit consists of about 20 employees who work as departmental lawyers and are located in Stockholm, Örebro, Malmö, Luleå, and Gothenburg. Through close leadership, you create the predictability, security, and sustainability necessary for employees to take their responsibility and meet the need for change. You create an understanding of context, direction, and the target images the department has set and develop the plans your operations need. As a unit manager, you are a support for the area manager and you are part of the area's management group, which will consist of four unit managers where you contribute with your competence and engagement. You adapt and exercise your leadership in a way that creates conditions for employees to use their judgment and competence.
By balancing short-term demands for results with a long-term sustainable operation, the employees in your area offer a health-promoting work environment. You have a good ability to adapt your leadership based on what the situation and mission require.
